Geomantic Agriculture, Ley Lines, Earth Grids & Telluric Currents
Geomantic agricultural practices involve the application of geomancy, an ancient method of divination and earth energy interpretation, to farming and agriculture. The term "geomancy" comes from the Greek words "geo," meaning earth, and "manteia," meaning divination. Yet, at Terraforma, we do not deal with magical divination, but rather, mystical sciences and metaphysical practices that could still be considered as 'divining' yet they include the intervention of God. So, under our umbrella, geomantic agriculture refers to Earth-based energy practices and the understanding of subtle energies present in the environment at the behest of God.
In the context of agriculture, geomantic practices might involve aligning planting, cultivation, and harvesting activities with the natural energy flows of the Earth, including ley lines and telluric currents. This could involve the strategic placement of crops, the use of specific planting and harvesting rituals, or the alignment of agricultural activities with lunar or solar cycles.
For example, a farmer practicing geomantic agriculture might choose to arrange their fields or plant certain crops in alignment with perceived energy lines or natural features in the landscape. They might also incorporate elements of biodynamics, a holistic, ecological, and ethical approach to farming that includes spiritual and mystical perspectives.
However, it's important to note that while geomantic agricultural practices can be fascinating and have a long history in certain cultures, they are not widely recognized or employed in mainstream agriculture.
Ley Lines, Earth Grids, and Telluric Currents are metaphysical constructs that relate to the Earth's energy and their influences on the natural world and human-made structures.
Ley Lines are hypothetical alignments of a number of places of geographical interest, such as ancient monuments and megaliths. The term was introduced by amateur archaeologist Alfred Watkins in the early 20th century, who proposed that these alignments were not accidental and suggested that our ancestors constructed these monuments in alignment with these lines to draw upon their natural energy.
Earth Grids, also known as the Earth's energy grid, refer to a series of geometric shapes that some believe cover the surface of the Earth. The idea is that the Earth's energy is structured in such a way that it forms a grid that aligns with these shapes. Some proponents of this theory suggest that where the lines of these grids intersect, there are concentrated areas of energy that can be harnessed or that have influenced the location of religious structures across the globe. Oftentimes Ley Lines and Earth Grids are interchangeable and mean the same thing.
Telluric Currents, on the other hand, are a scientifically verified phenomenon. They are electric currents that move underground or through the sea, induced by the Earth's natural magnetic field. Telluric currents are influenced by changes in the magnetic field, such as those that occur during solar storms. They can affect telecommunications, pipeline corrosion, and have been used for geophysical surveying.
It is important to note that Ley Lines and Earth Grids are considered pseudoscientific and their existence and influence are not recognized by mainstream science. However, Telluric Currents are a well-documented and studied phenomenon. More research is needed to fully understand the potential implications of these concepts.
